Art imitates life, and the projects, properties, and provenances touched by Kristin’s exceptional sense of design reflect a lifetime of experience embracing the people, cultures, art, and history of each remarkable place she’s lived.
Kristin fell in love with hospitality projects early in her career thanks to an opportunity to take her architecture and design credentials to Riga, Latvia to help transform a Soviet-era hotel into a high-end independent hotel property for a Norwegian investment group. A string of high-profile design projects for lifestyle and boutique hotel brands including Renaissance, Autograph by Marriott, Moxy Hotels, and Tapestry Collection helped build strong people management skills and develop her winning team concept. Kristin credits being stretched personally and professionally through unusual projects and experiences for developing her talent at breathing new energy and life into all of her properties.
As a key member of CoralTree’s project development team working with corporate and hotel teams, owners and developers, Kristin’s talent for creating exceptional environments ensures that hotels are renovated, restored, and built to meet and exceed the property’s goals, positioning, and expectations. Her ability to put relationships at the center of each interaction builds long-term trust our owners and developers value. Kristin loves the complexity of hospitality projects fueled by the emotions that good design can evoke, and while you may not be able to describe the ‘why’, she knows guests feel relaxed, energized and delighted when they are in a resort, hotel, or restaurant that is well-crafted through its design, function, materials, furnishings, and lighting. All of these elements equal the entire experience.
Like most creatives at the top of their game, Kristin prioritizes taking time away frequently to explore new cultures, food, art, and nature in order to restore, invigorate, and inspire her soul.
