Matt Coyne is the Senior Director of Network Security at CoralTree Hospitality, overseeing network security for both Lowe Enterprises and CoralTree. With a comprehensive role, Matt manages crucial areas like firewall administration, vulnerability scanning, patch management, endpoint security, email, and Microsoft 365 security, as well as security incident and event management. He also ensures PCI-DSS compliance.

Initially attracted to the hospitality industry for its flexibility, Matt soon discovered a passion for its dynamic environment and vibrant people. This sparked a long-term career in hospitality, where his interest in technology grew alongside the rise of the Internet. His academic focus transitioned from English Literature to Information Systems Management, aligning his career with his burgeoning interest in computers, the internet, and network communications.

A memorable moment from his early career was during the Blizzard of 2003 while working as a receiving clerk at The Inverness. Matt's dedication shone through as he stayed overnight to ensure vendor deliveries continued despite the heavy snow. Matt’s proudest career highlight is his collaboration with a talented team of IT professionals at the home office and across various properties. Their collective dedication is a key asset to CoralTree's success, and Matt takes pride in working alongside such skilled individuals daily.
